How WordPress Theme & Plugin Detection Works
This tool scans a website's public HTML, stylesheets, and scripts to uncover the underlying WordPress configuration.
- Theme Detection: Identifies active themes and child themes by parsing the style.css stylesheet header and asset directories.
- Plugin Identification: Detects active plugins from resource paths, script handles, and inline plugin signatures.
- Core & Stack Analysis: Reveals WordPress version, page builders like Elementor or Gutenberg, and web server or CDN layers.
Why Aren't All Plugins Visible?
Only plugins that load frontend stylesheets, scripts, or HTML markup can be detected from public web pages. Pure backend admin plugins like SMTP mailers or security firewalls do not expose frontend assets.
